Western Outdoor News hosts their annual TroutfesT tournament each fall at Big Bear Lake. Anglers from near and far rendezvous for a chance to reel in the biggest rainbow trout!

Participating anglers can win prizes in adult and junior categories for heaviest trout and be included in the raffle drawing for event more prizes. Prior to the tournament, WON stocks thousands of trout in the lake with the help of the Big Bear Municipal Water District. All event activities including registration and awards will be held at the Municipal Water District or the Big Bear Marina parking lot.

2024 TroutfesT Registration

  • $75 for adults
  • $50 for juniors (14 and under)
  • The first 600 entries will receive a goodie bag with a selection of items from event sponsors.
  • Download the waiver form and either bring it with you or email it to bille@wonews.com prior to registration day.
  • Every angler MUST complete a waiver form prior to competing.

REGISTRATION 

TroutfesT Awards

The raffle prize drawing, Blind Bogie Contest, and weight class awards will commence around 3:30 PM in the Big Bear Marina parking lot.

  • Prizes will be awarded to 1st through 5th place for top adult male, top adult female, top junior male, and top junior female (juniors are under 14 years of age) and overall big fish.
  • Thousands of dollars in raffle prizes will be raffled off to those in attendance. You must be present to win.
  • The Blind Bogie cash prizes will be awarded on Sunday.
