Big Bear offers two free services for airport guests to get around the town — the Free Big Bear Trolley and the Big Bear Airport Connexx. The Big Bear Trolley provides a red line that goes directly to Big Bear Airport every 30 minutes, seven days per week. The Big Bear Airport Connexx is exclusively for airport guests on the weekends between 8 am and 5 pm, bringing guests directly to the village, restaurants, and our Big Bear lodging options!
Other ground transportation choices that you can use when you go to and from the airport include Lyft, Uber, Mountain Transit shuttle, and car rentals. The Mountain Transit shuttle is a convenient option for you getting to one of our properties, offering a scheduled Route 11 track that goes to Big Bear Boulevard.

While you wait for your flight to depart Big Bear, or you are super hungry after an early morning catching a flight to Big Bear, there are some restaurants and eateries that you can make use of in this airport. The Barnstorm Restaurant is a lovely restaurant in the airport that is open for delivery anywhere in Big Bear Valley and has indoor seating. This convenient restaurant is perfect for breakfast and lunch on the first floor of the airport terminal.
Head here any day after 7 am to enjoy some of their classic breakfast dishes or lunch sandwiches. We love the Blueberry French Toast for a sweet treat to start the day. Other favorites include the classic Corned Beef and Eggs, Smoked Ham and Cheese Omelette, Barnstorm Omelette with sausage, onion, mushrooms, and bell pepper, or the filling Chicken and Waffles! Pair any one of these dishes with a hot cup of coffee to get a much-needed caffeine kick.
