Snow Tubing Parks
Not a skier or snowboarder? Enjoy the snowy slopes on an inner tube instead! The Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain, Big Bear Snow Play and Grizzly Ridge Tube Park operate year-round with seasonal snow tubing offered each winter. Tubing parks allow guests to enjoy snow sliding in a safe and controlled environment away from cars and traffic.
Glow Tubing
Experience the magic of snow tubing at night at both Alpine Slide and Big Bear Snow Play! When the sun goes down, the neon lights come on sweeping the slopes with color and an ultra-cool vibe. It’s much colder at night so dress in layers for warmth. Glow Tubing offered on Fridays, Saturdays, and Holidays.

Take in Big Bear Lake’s serene and snowy landscape on a solo snowshoe journey or join a guided tour. Need the gear? Stop by Goldsmith’s Sports for snowshoe rentals. Adventuring on National Forest trails is permitted year-round but Adventure Passes are required to park in most trailhead parking lots. Stop by the Visitor Center to pick up a day or annual pass.

Discovery Center
Join a Snowshoe Tour with the Big Bear Discovery Center. These snowshoe tours are made easy with equipment and guide included. Along the way, explore the San Bernardino National Forest and get to know history about Big Bear Lake. Tours must be booked in advance. Wear waterproof clothing and snow boots and don’t forget sunscreen and water!
Action Tours
Big Bear Lake’s Action Tours leads snowshoe tours customized to each group so you can choose to take it easy or go hard. Equipment is provided for all participants but it’s recommended to wear waterproof clothing and boots to keep dry and warm. Sunscreen is a must and don’t forget water!
