For instance, one could head over to Big Bear Zoo and enjoy their “Boo in the Zoo,” where one can dress up and enjoy trick or treating amongst the animals. One could also take advantage of their Twilight Safari which will have you coming in the dark of night to witness the nocturnal animals that call the night their own. Of course, make sure you take stop at the classic pumpkin patch, such as the free one hosted by the Big Bear Lions Club, where your little ones can also enjoy a bounce house, hay maze, carnival games, and more!
What could be more perfect than a Thanksgiving feast served around a large oak table in the dining room of a cabin in the woods. You and your family will be thankful for the large, easy-to-clean kitchen that comes stocked with pots, pans, and dishes. If you’re not in the mood to cook, there are several catering companies and restaurants in the area that offer wonderful Thanksgiving dinners.
Before your dinner, you can work up an appetite with the variety of winter activities that Big Bear has to offer. After dinner, you can gather around the TV for football or sit in front of a roaring fire.
Whatever winter holiday you may celebrate, spending it in Big Bear is like something out of a movie. We can put you in a log cabin, nestled in the beautiful California mountains, surrounded by beautiful trees, rivers, and Big Bear Lake.
Our larger cabins will accommodate up to 15 people. Many of our cabins come with their own hot tub where you can relax at the end of a long day of outdoor activities and sip eggnog as you gaze up at the star-filled sky. Of course, to make it even better, when you find yourself coming this holiday season make the most of the celebrations occurring. Snow Summit offers special night sessions for the holiday season where one can ski across the crystalline snow beneath the twinkling stars as the way is illuminated by the silver moon. One could also make the most out of the celebrations put on by the various establishments in Big Bear, such as the Barrell 33 Christmas Market, where you can enjoy sipping upon excellent drinks as you enjoy browsing the various local vendors set up on their back patio.
