For a slightly more challenging hike, consider Castle Rock Trail. This is one of the most popular hiking trails in Big Bear. It’s rated as a moderate hike, with a high elevation change. However, this trail is well marked, and you are rewarded for your extra effort with beautiful lake views. Castle Rock Trail is also dog-friendly, so feel free to bring your leashed pooch along on the hike with you!
