For a group dinner with your company, consider making a reservation at Nottingham’s Restaurant and Tavern. The upstairs tavern is perfect for large groups, or you can sit outdoors on their lake-view patio which is open May through October. The restaurant can accommodate up to 100 people and your group will have access to a full bar, music, and a large projection screen.
Nottingham’s is open every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and they offer happy hour Sunday – Friday. Dinner begins at 3 p.m. and the menu includes burgers, salmon, filet mignon, and much more. They have a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options as well.
Spend a Day on the Lake
Plan a day on the sparkling waters of Big Bear Lake for your whole team to get together. Holloway’s Marina rents out premium luxury pontoon rentals that can accommodate up to 14 people. Their luxury pontoons have upgraded interiors, USB ports, and an MP3 player. Boats can be rented by the hour or for the full day.
If you want to go fishing, Lucky Bear Fishing offers fishing charters on Big Bear Lake. The charter will take you to some of the best spots on the lake to fish for Rainbow trout, largemouth bass, and catfish. You can rent a private charter for a half or full day and they provide all of the fishing gear and equipment. At the end of the day, you’ll get to take your fish home to grill for dinner.
There are also several beaches along Big Bear Lake where you can bring a picnic and layout in the sun or set up a friendly game of cornhole. Meadow Park is one of the best beaches for large groups. The park has picnic areas with barbeques, a playground, public restrooms, and more.
Take a Hike
The forests surrounding Big Bear Lake are full of miles of hiking trails that provide the perfect atmosphere for clearing your head after a day of work. The Alpine Pedal Trail is a leisurely hike that is known for its gorgeous views and paved path. There are several spots along the path where you can stop and sit on a bench or set up a picnic.
If you want a more difficult hike, then climb the Cougar Crest Trail. This hike begins at the Big Bear Discovery Center and then gradually climbs uphill, where you will be rewarded with views of Big Bear Lake and the surrounding mountains.
