Summertime Adventure
Big Bear is one of the best destinations in California to get out and enjoy nature. No matter what time of year you plan your visit, there is some fantastic holiday fun to be had here. Over Memorial Day Weekend, be sure to get out and enjoy the warm weather fun. Many of our rentals in Big Bear are located on or near Big Bear Lake, which is the centerpiece to summer fun here. Rent a boat and get out on the water! Enjoy a fishing excursion, either by yourself or chartered, and bring home a delicious souvenir. For a sporty adventure, consider water skiing or renting a kayak and getting some exercise while you take in the beautiful sites of the shores. If heading out on the water doesn’t appeal to you, Big Bear is also home to dozens of hiking trails that can accommodate both hiking novices and experts. For an easy hike, consider the Jenks Lake Trail or the Alpine Pedal Path. For more of a challenge, head to Pine Knot Trail or Castle Rock Trail. Both of these trails are rated as moderate, but you will be rewarded for the extra effort with some of the best views in Big Bear!
Ski Resort Adventure
Although Big Bear is most known for its fantastic ski resorts, these areas completely transform in the summertime to continue offering outdoor adventures! Our rentals are located near some of the most popular skiing and snowboarding areas, making it easy to head out and have some fun. Bear Mountain Ski Resort and Snow Summit are the two local ski resorts, located just 2 miles apart and just minutes away from our rental properties. In the winter, Bear Mountain Ski Resort offers over 700 acres of skiable terrain, with the region’s largest beginner skier areas. However, in the summertime it transforms into a golfer’s paradise! In addition to the full-service pro shop, Bear Mountain also offers a driving range and putting green and hosts fun summer golfing events. Snow Summit is the more intimate sister ski resort to Big Bear, but it still offers tons of opportunities for fun. Here, you’ll be able to enjoy summertime activities such as a rock climbing wall, ziplines, and lots of fun concerts and events.
