BLIZZARD CONDITIONS – TRAVEL ADVISORY

Powerful winter storm with blizzard like conditions through Saturday. Road closures, business closures, home access issues, over two feet of snow and over a foot expected today.

It’s currently unsafe to travel and the roads are requiring chains on ALL VEHICLES no exceptions.

We will arrange to move your reservation to another date or provide a raincheck, valid for six months.

Know Before You Go:

• What to bring, tire chains, shovel, ice scrapers, warm boots, gloves, flashlights, food, water and extra warm clothing and blankets.
• Be prepared; snowplows are on a route and will not be able to go off route during your stay.
• There will be a heavy snow situation where you must use the shovel provided at your property.
• Prepare for traffic delays, as the roads will be slick with slow travel.
• Travel safe, and we look forward to seeing you in the SNOW!!

If you feel unsafe traveling under a winter travel advisory, please let us know and we will make arrangements for your reservation.
The options are to move your reservation to another date or we will provide a raincheck, valid for six months.

Snow In Big Bear

Be prepared for snow several inches and more in the forecast.

Bring tire chains, ice scraper, flares, warm boots, gloves, blankets, snow shovel, and a flashlight.

Be prepared for traffic delays when traveling on mountain roads.

Check-in time is 4 pm.

The following city and county stay at home order restrictions apply to your reservation:

• You must only come with your immediate household group (This means no combining families)
• There is a max occupancy of 8 in the same house with only 2 cars
• Spa hours 7 am to 10 pm
• No Day visitors or visiting vehicles to your rental
• Do not congregate, wear face coverings, and practice social distancing

VACATION RENTAL GUESTS FROM MULTIPLE HOUSEHOLDS WILL BE EVICTED

The City continues to focus its enforcement efforts on vacation rental units that are occupied by multiple households and/or are engaged in unsafe, irresponsible, and disrespectful behavior.

The City will not take punitive enforcement action against vacation rentals that abide by the following requirements:

a) limit occupancy to members of the same household,
b) verify compliance with the same household requirement during an in-person check-in process,
c) perform cleanings in compliance with recommended COVID-19 cleaning practices,
d) do not exceed 2 vehicles at the unit,
e) do not host parties or gatherings, and do not generate excessive noise,

Snowing In Big Bear

Be prepared with snow chains, ice scraper, flares, warm boots, gloves, blankets, snow shovel, and flashlight.
There will be traffic delays on all mountain roads as chairs are required on Highway 18 and Highway 38.
Check in time is 4 pm and the office closes at 8 pm

We will be making contact with every reservation reviewing compliance.

Our team will help find solutions for your reservation if you are not compliant with the current restrictions.

• Ride a bike on of our many world-class trails
• Take a hike to the top of Cougar Crest and overlook the beautiful big bear valley
• Ski or snowboard at Bear Mountain or Snow Summit
• Take the kids tubing at Alpine Slides or Big Bear Snow Play
• Experience the rugged dirt roads on a jeep experience
• Always remember to be respectful of the Big Bear neighbors and our community by keeping the noise down & not congregating and leaving no trace.

Stay-At- Home Order and Your Reservation

Hello.

We know most of you are wondering how the latest stay-at-home order will affect your upcoming stay with us here at Big Bear Vacations.

These restrictions apply:

-Guests MUST be from the same immediate household. 

– 2 Vehicles Max City may choose to audit homes if more than 2 vehicles are at the property

Bear Mountain and Snow Summit are open, taking all precautionary measures to protect guests.

For all reservations, prior to December 21. We do have options if you are not feeling comfortable with travel while this order is in place. We will gladly move your reservation to another date or grant a raincheck until you have a date that would feel safer for you to travel.

All vacation rental guests must comply with restrictions, and always wear face coverings, maintain distance, and be respectful to our neighbors while in the Big Bear community.

Big Bear Vacations

Following San Bernardino County’s lead vacation rentals are now permitted to operate in the City of Big Bear Lake. No gatherings or parties are permitted, and all guest groups should maintain 6 ft. separation from others should wear face coverings when interacting with other groups or individuals and should practice frequent hand washing and personal hygiene.

ALL vacation rental guests should bring their own food and supplies from their home community. PLEASE don’t crowd our grocery stores, and help us preserve essential food and supplies for the residents of the Big Bear Valley. Vacation rental guests are encouraged to order take-out or delivery from local restaurants, who are eager to serve you. Face coverings should be worn when interacting with restaurant staff.

Policies for Big Bear Vacation Rentals
Homes are disinfected prior to check-in using a 68 point checklist.
We cannot enter the property for any reason once the guest has checked in – this means we will troubleshoot all issues via email, text, and phone.

$250.00 fine and eviction if ordnance code call on any of the following 24/7

Disturbing the peace, over guest occupancy, over car occupancy
