HomeBig Bear Lake Things To DoSnow Tubing in Big Bear

The beauty of a lakeside and mountainside locale, and a slower pace than a big city might is the perfect backdrop for your next winter vacation. Big Bear has plenty of unique and fun activities and attractions, including snow tubing in Big Bear for your winter getaway. Speed down snow hills on a tube, then go again! The experience is just like sledding, except you’ll be going downhill on an inner tube.

Big Bear SnowPlay

Slide down man-made and/or nature’s white powder for a fun and unique snow experience. Tubes are single-person, but riders 36”-42” must ride in the lap of an adult 18 years or older. Ride down the hill, then go again after boarding the “Magic Carpet” – a slowly creeping conveyor belt tunnel that brings tubes and riders to the top for another run. If the weekend is part of your trip, stop by on Friday or Saturday for special glow tubing, featuring red, blue, green, and black light. General admission is $40 and a “small child ticket” for guests 36”-42” is $25. One-on-one adult supervision per small child is required. Children under 36” tall and pregnant guests are not permitted past the Snow Play gate. Cash only.

Grizzly Ridge Tube Park

The snow tubing in Big Bear attraction located at Snow Summit boasts three, 3,000-foot tubing lanes. Go again and again with the help of a conveyor belt that brings you and your tube back to the top of the hill. For the safety of everyone, riders must be at least 42” tall and a minimum of 40 pounds. One person per tube. Contact Snow Summit for hours and pricing.

Who Should Go?

Everyone who fits the criteria to ride. Families with smaller children will want to head to SnowPlay, while families with children a little taller can head to either SnowPlay or Grizzly Ridge Tube Park. Wherever you go, make sure to bundle up!
