Hit the Slopes in Big Bear

From October to May, or as soon as the powder sticks to the slopes, the ski resorts open up and the town comes to life. The center of the winter fun in Big Bear is its two sister ski resorts: Snow Summit and Bear Mountain. Between these two resorts, you can ski miles of trails and always find something new. Snow Summit offers 240 acres of skiable terrain with 27 trails that offer over 18 miles of skiing and snowboarding. Bear Mountain has almost 200 acres of area, with 15 trails and 8 lifts. Both offer a variety of trails in a range of difficulties, from first-time beginners all the way through advanced runs. They also both offer rental equipment and private lessons Bear Mountain also sports terrain parks, similar to a skate park but with snow, that allow skiers and snowboarders to try tricks and have a unique experience. Although Big Bear is known for its winter sports, there is no shortage of fun to be had in the summertime here, and our 19-bedroom cabins put you in the center of all the action. If you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, there is still lots of summer fun to be had in Big Bear!
